Being Nepal’s first national park, it is equally beautiful lying in between Langtang Lirung (7245m); the highest peak in the region, on the north and beautiful range of smaller peaks; Chimse Danda, Ganja La Pass (5122m), Jugal Himal and Dorje Lakpa (6989m) on the south. Langtang Region is considered more adventurous as the area is visited by lesser tourists compared to other Himalayan region. Besides being impressive in scenic beauty, it also holds an interesting race of talented craftsman with unique language, dress and houses; the Tamangs. Langtang is famous for its many glacier and high altitude lakes that include Gosainkunda, Pavitrakunda, Bhairavakunda and Dudhkunda. The region is also decorated with alpine vegetation and a home to most migratory birds, deer, monkeys, Himalayan Thar, Pika, Fox, Wild dog, Red Panda, Langur, Himalayan Black Bear, Marten, Himalayan Weasel, Leopard Cat, Goral, Himalayan Musk Deer, Clouded Leopard, Snow Leopard etc. Langtang trekking is the combination of distant and extravagant valley of Langtang with the high mountain lake at greatest elevation; Gosainkunda. The beautiful Helambu Valley lets you visit the beautiful Langtang National park and then at the end of the valley; the view of the wonderful ice flutes of Gyangchempo.
