Nar Phu Valley Trek

Nar Phu Valley Trek, a newly opened trek in Nepal takes you to the most remote and enchanting corner of Annapurna Region with rugged and wild landscapes similar to that of Tibet. The trek combines the taste of medieval Tibetan culture in an undistributed form, dramatic mountain ranges view and great alpine scenery. The package comprises of the most remote villages of Nepal; Nar and Phu, narrow canyons, lovely forest, amazing rock formations, yaks, monasteries, unique Himalayan culture and the great Kang La Pass rising at the altitude of 5322 meters.

The trek commences from Chyamje with a 9 hours drive from Kathmandu. The trail is the same as Annapurna Circuit trek. Crossing over the bridge in Marshangdi River we head through narrow and forested entrance to the valley of Nar Phu. The valley opens up to a huge expansion of snowy peaks, ancient villages and high altitude grazing settlements, untouched and unseen remoteness and also a pilgrim site for the Buddhist who come to the renowned Tashi Lhakhang Gompa to receive blessing from Lama Karma Sonam Rinpoche. Besides spending plenty of time in these colorful villages, we also tour the high alpine valleys above Phu and the Kang La Pass itself. Raising at the height of 5315 meters the Pass offers a magnificent view of Annapurna II, Gangapurna and Tilicho peak. The next we go through Manang (3500m) and to Chame and back to Kathmandu.
