Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek is a trek on the northern wall of Nepal's famous Lake city Pokhara. The Poon hill Ghorepani trek is a popular short trek to the Annapurna. It is a relatively easy trek which includes walking along streams and forests also suitable for those looking for a few days close to Nature and involves no high climbing. The Ghorepani Poon Hill trek starts from Nayapul, Crossing the suspension bridge over Modhi Khola River after almost an hour's drive from Pokhara. We pass through the typical middle hilly villages and the views of terrace farming enclosed by Machhapuchre. On the second day, we walk mainly through the woods before we reach Ghorepani Village base camp on Poon Hill. The following day we make an early hour to the nearby Poon hill for the stunning sunrise view of the Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Nilgiri, Fishtail and other famous mountains of the west region. The whole of Ghorepani is densely forested with rhododendron trees, the national flower of Nepal. Every spring, watching these red flowers blossom with the panorama of the high mountains on the skyline gives fantastic scenery. From Ghorepani, we move towards the beautiful Gurung village on the lap of Annapurnas. This village is famous for its traditional houses, rich cultural values, incredible landscape and best hospitality. Walking down the numerous steps, we move through Birethanti and catch our vehicle for Pokhara at Nayapul.

Access to Gorepani Poon Hill
